1897 Fourth of July Celebration in Railroad Town

In the almost two years I’ve been working in Grand Island, Neb. I’ve covered many events at Stuhr Museum. The history and events presented are just the coolest. It was a field day of photo opportunities at the 1897 Fourth of July Celebration in Railroad Town. There is an upcoming once in a lifetime event taking place August 21, 2017 in which there will be a solar eclipse. The path of the sun lines up perfectly for a full eclipse in Grand Island and hotels and motels are booked solid during that time.
