Andrew Carpenean

I am a photojournalist based in Colorado. I’ve worked with publications and wire services in Nebraska, Missouri, Wyoming, Oklahoma, and Oregon, in addition to Colorado. In November 2017, I reached a 20-year milestone as a professional photographer.

At age 17, I became an assistant to a Denver Post staff photographer, later studying commercial photography at the Art Institute of Colorado. My first stint as a photojournalist was freelancing for United Press International in Denver, Colo.

I’ve won 57 awards for my images in either state, regional or national competitions.
